Haynes McFadden, 69, of Omaruru, Namibia, passed away June 10. Although he moved to Namibia in 1993 with his wife, Naomi, Haynes also lived in Atlanta, Ga., where he began working as a graphic artist in his grandfather's publishing house. In 1960, he turned to professional photography and continued in that trade on and off for the rest of his life. He even documented the relics of the Baha'i faith in Israel. (He was a committed member of the Baha'i faith for the last 44 years.)
Haynes joined PPA in 1992 and was also very active in his own local community of Omaruru. From running a computer training school to being the chairman of the Namibian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Omaruru branch, Boy Scout leader and tutor, he lent a helping hand and encouraging word where needed.
Our hearts go out to his family, friends and the many lives he has touched.
