I didn't enter this shootout. Quite frankly, I'm glad I didn't. I wouldn't want my photos next to the ones that were listed as winners. The only ones that had any merit were "Railway Rendevous" and "The Wait". The rest was a post production train wreck lacking any artistic merit. A decade from now, we will look back and laugh at such technique. Yes, it is an opinion. And PPA's opinion was that they had the qualities that made them winners. I respect that. PPA is entitled to it. Yet I find myself wanting to pull my subscription to PPA. I'm entitled to that.
